MAIN SESSIONS

Saved By Grace | Wednesday Night

SESSION 1:

But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)

For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus.

God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.

KAY D. LYNN

THEOLOGIAN AND SPEAKER

Due to privacy considerations, this speaker has asked to not be pictured; instead, she has chosen an anonymous image that reflects her.

KAY D. LYNN is a walking contradiction of a woman called to be a saint (Romans 1:7), a lover of the Lord and His Word, while hopelessly attracted to someone of the same gender. She holds this tension against the backdrop of His beautiful grace and is determined to live every day in her truth, nested in the right hand of her Abba Father and filled with the Holy Spirit.

She lives in the blessed hope that as she authentically lives in Him, He will continue in His promise to keep her until the return of His Son and her Savior/Brother, Jesus Christ. Until then, she am determined to love others as He has loved me and teach His Word as He has called her to do. She is determined to be faithful and continue to steward her sacred lot in life.

Her love for the Lord spills over to an ardent love of books, intellectual + (some) social engagement, travel, and working tirelessly on behalf of “the least of these” (Matt 25:40).

MISTY IRONS

THEOLOGIAN AND SPEAKER

Misty Irons is a friend of the LGBTQ Christian community and has served as conference speaker, seminar leader, and podcast guest, representing a straight ally perspective. For 16 years she maintained a blog on faith and sexuality. She is a graduate of Westminster Seminary California (M.A., Biblical Studies) and a member of the Presbyterian Church in America. She currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
